We used your understanding of Rome and Han to point out evidence of religion and discussed why it was so significant for each empire. Bottom line, as population grows, life becomes more complicated, With complication comes questions, lots of them. Religion seems to provide human nature to answers to "hard" questions. We will continue with the content tomorrow in class. Until then, spend some time reviewing your materials to date.
Civics: Today we held a fish bowl debate related to the affordable health care act. Your participation was essential in order for you to verbalize your understanding of the issues. We have not finished, but will plan to do so tomorrow within the fist 20 minutes of class. If for some reason you did not participate today, plan to do so tomorrow. Certainly, what you have to say is valuable. At the conclusion of the fishbowl frenzy debate, you will submit your briefing statement and argument map for credit. For homework, you are to begin work on the journaling assignment. (posted on website) The journaling is due on MONDAY.
