World: In class we had a wonderful debriefing of Hinduism and Buddhism by our student peers. Well done! You exhibit a terrific understanding. For the remainder of the session, our focus was on the SPREAD OF RELIGION. Ideas set forth related to reasons for the spread of religion were: conversion, trade, conquest, missionaries, and the portable nature of religion. We worked through part II of the spread of religion material and viewed Maps of War, Spread of Religion a, 90 second rendition, a number of times for analysis. http://www.mapsofwar.com/ind/history-of-religion.html.
For homework you are to complete questions related to Map A-C. Remember, A was the Spread of Buddhism, B the Spread of Christianity, and C the Spread of Islam. Think critically about the maps for analysis. More tomorrow on the spread. Be sure to review material today. Your quiz II is one week away. (TUESDAY, October 29.
