World, Civics, 12 Focus

World:  In class we finished up our collaborative reading and gained a general understanding of What it Takes to Be an Empire.  We will continue to formulate this understanding using what you know about Rome and Han.  See the website for today's info on Rome and Han.

I will be out tomorrow at a meeting.  Mrs. Iden will be here to instruct.  She's great and you won't miss a beat.  You will continue developing the tenants of empire and apply your Cornell by way of evidence in a graphic organizer during class.  You should be able to complete the work in class, however, it you don't you need to for homework.  We will continue with empire on Monday.

Attn Zaria:  We won't begin the film until next week, so no worries...

Civics: Finally we finished our discussion and application of democracy using the Arab Spring reading.  You received documents to help with your understanding of the government insurance marketplace... use those tomorrow in the lab when you are researching health insurance providers, their policies and coverage.  By then, you should have completed the vocabulary for the content.

I will be out tomorrow at a meeting. Mrs. Iden will be here to instruct. She's great and you won't miss a beat.  You'll be in the lab researching.  You know what to do because you have the handout related the top insurance companies.  Please have that aspect of your research completed for Monday.  Our goal is to have our Fishbowl Frenzy Debate on Thursday, but there is much work to be done.

12 Focus:  Another section of the ACT was completed today, then you attended a MAGIC MOMENT... a jazz presentation school wide event in the Smith.  You will complete the final section of the ACT next week.
