Civics, Focus, World

Civics: Today we finished up Texas v. Johnson, and learned about Snyder v. Pheleps. Bottom line, the government cannot restrict speech just because "they" don't approve of the message.  Due tomorrow is the short answer take home portion of the midterm.  If you are absent, you MUST email me your completed questions. There is an electronic copy of the questions on the website (weebly).  You received a basic review sheet for the midterm (objective). Use it to get organized.  You were also give an informative assessment, a tool you can use to check for readiness.  Remember, you may have a 3x5 card that is hand written for the midterm. You can also use notes from chapter 4 and 5.

Focus: Today was the last day of strand 3.  My base group heads to Hefflebower next.

Our goal is to sent the stage for just how significant Europe's recovery was after the fall of Rome and the Plague.  Cornell notes for 14.4 are credited tomorrow, when we will continue with the Plague.
