Civics: Today we continued with applying precedents to First Amendment Issues. You are getting the hang of it. Be sure you review the key terms we have been highlighting and the key precedents for this material. Today we discussed JURISDICTION. Do you remember what that is? For tonight, please read the material I provided on Flag Burning. This too is a first amendment issue. It's symbolic speech. Any late or missing work should be turned in NOW.
Focus: Glogster presentations were today. If you were absent, you cannot make up the 5 point portion for the glogster but you can get up to 20 points for completing your Glogster. IT is due NOW! Tomorrow is extended office hours. Be sure to obtain the help you need in preparation for Midterms.
Seminar: Today you participated in a much needed team building activity, the spider web. Be prepared to debrief the activity on Wednesday.
World: We finished up guided notes I and began guided notes II. We will complete the discussion tomorrow, and conclude this period with a medieval activity. Be sure to be reading 13.2, 13.4 and 14.4. I will handout Cornell notes for 14.4 tomorrow. Any late or missing work should be turned in NOW.
