World: Today we recapped & debriefed the material you read in the text chapter 10, sec 1 & 2; and further discussed the significance of rise, expansion and spread related to Islam. You viewed about 30 minutes of Islam: Empire of Faith (assessable on YOUTUBE) related to the first segment, the messenger. The material coincides with the rise, spread and expansion. I handed out a note taking document that can be used on the exam for your use during the viewing.
Over the weekend be sure to finish reading the text reading and note taking. You will receive credit on Monday. In addition, complete the spread of Islam reading and questions provided on the handout provided today in class. ALL DUE MONDAY FOR CREDIT
Civics: We finished Electoral Dysfunction today. DUE on Monday for credit: your analysis and the response to the assignment on the National Popular Vote Initiative. Research via Google the initiative, take a stand on whether or not you agree or disagree with the initiative and EXPLAIN your position. Again, DUE ON MONDAY for credit. On Monday, we will wrap it up and begin gun control/gun rights (2nd Amendment)

13th Seminar: Professional Portfolio due today. You completed peer assessments for construction direction and turned in your portfolio. We also continued with planning for the February 14 teach in.
