Economics- Focus-World

Economics: We began class with a quick discussion from an Article from The Washington Post: The Economics of Gun Control.  http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/12/28/the-economics-of-gun-control/

It's an interesting read and one that makes a lot of sense considering your understating of the economic decision making we have learned.

We used whatever time was left to view a few more selected Bowling for Columbine clips. (by the way, today the Colorado legislature is voting to pass new gun legislation. Columbine took place is 1999.  It took the the Aurora (movie theater) shooting & Newtown case to finally get the legislature to take action).  Go Figure.

Tomorrow we will take the quiz on the economics of voting and the economics of Gun Control. See yesterday's blog post for quiz details. They have been posted twice. Yesterday and again on last Friday.

You may use your hand written notes, the 2nd Amendment reading that your annotated, Remember the ladies and the Iron Jawed Angels material for the quiz. The quiz is 40 points.  10 points objective, 30 points short answer.  YOU WILL TURN IN YOUR NOTES USED ON THE QUIZ WHEN YOU TURN YOUR QUIZ IN.

Remember, I will be absent tomorrow.  Mrs. Iden will be here to administer the quiz. Be sure to thank her for being here.   Have a nice few days off.
