Civics-Focus-World

Civics: today we began covering material related to the electoral college. We discussed some key overview points, viewed a couple polling maps related to historic elections and did a guided reading about the electoral college.  We will finish the reading in class tomorrow. For homework tonight, you are to complete the handout related to Ch. 10.4.  Take your own notes on the text reading and complete the handout related to the content.  This homework is due in class tomorrow.

Quiz II and Glogster grades have been posted on power school, please check you grades in all of your classes.

Focus:  All Blog addresses were provided to me today so you can now access each other's blog via the classroom website on weebly.  You worked on your first post which is due on Thursday. BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE POSTING FORMAT. Many of you are doing your own thing and that does not lend itself to any continuity. See the requested format on the classroom website.

World: Today fate dictated your assigned religion.  We discussed tomorrow's quiz briefly and went to the lab to finish up the briefing statements and to begin the argument maps.  You should be preparing for the World Religion quiz that is scheduled for tomorrow.  If you have time continue work on your argument map, but you will be given time tomorrow and again on Thursday to finish your preparations.  The Fishbowl debate is going to be on Friday.  If you are absent, you will not be able to make up the oral part of the debate; however, the written material will be accepted.

For the Quiz on World Religions:
1. Study both Dr. EASE charts (you can use these)
2. Review PowerPoint's and prereadings on topics
3. Review all materials related to the World religions.
4. Review all materials concerning rise and spread of Islam.
