Civics: Today we assigned glogster accounts so we will be ready to begin work on our glogsters related to the Michigan Ballot proposals.  We also had a little time to view a highlight of the 2nd presidential debate. A main talking point was equality for women in the work place.  We pointed out that this topic is critical because the women's vote in the election will be very significant.  In addition, the discussion targeted women are are undecided voters. The candidates position on that issue alone could be a game changer.

Over the weekend, get caught up.  Finish watching and identifying the issues from the first debate. Grab a parent or elder to sit with you to watch and help you decipher the meaning of the content.

Next week (either Thursday or Friday), there will be a quiz that covers the persuasive ad techniques in chapter 9, the activity we did with Mr. Stockdill, and the platform issues discussed in debates.  On Monday, the final presidential debate is being held. The topic is foreign policy.

Many of you did not bring your 3x5 card related to your assigned proposal.  Look up that information so you are prepared on Monday.  When considering the proposal assigned to you, THINK!  Do you know the difference between referendum and constitutional amendment? Do you know and understand the details about the proposal. Ask questions, dig for answer.
