Economics: Today are focus was on PPF. We debriefed the scenarios you contemplated about PPF. At this point you should have a solid understanding of what the PPF is and how opportunity relates to it. In class I showed two 4 minute YOUTUBE videos on PPF. The links are posted on the website. Also posted is the activity we did in class that made the learning visible. Students worked with a partner for question 1. For homework, complete question 2 and the PPF using the data on the chart located on side II of today's handout. Be sure to review the material in the text chapter 1, sections 1,2,3.

Although there was discussion today, we spent time viewing one 23 minute segment from Bridging World History on the Enlightenment. The Big Questions: HOW DO IDEAS CHANGE THE WORLD? HOW DO THEY INSPIRE PEOPLE TO ACTION? HOW ARE IDEAS CHANGED WHEN THEY ARE TRANSPORTED FROM ONE CULTURE TO ANOTHER?
(The link to the segment is here. Note: it is not a hot link. You will have to cut and paste.)
