Civics-Focus-Seminar-World

Civics: Today we revisited, discussed and submitted the chart related to the philosophers and enlightenment thinkers and the roots of government.   Be sure you understand the concepts of human nature and the forms of  government for each individual as all contributed to our democracy in some way shape or form.  We are still covering material from 3.1-3.3, thus you have not tuned in  your Cornell for those topics, but it was due last week and has been credited. Remember, you will be able to use the Cornell on the upcoming quiz.

We continued analyzing the Dof I. Those absent have a little catch up work to do.  For this evening, answer the questions related to the 3rd and 4th bullets on the D of I  handout.  We will continue with the activity tomorrow.  Due Wednesday are the Cornell for 3.4-3.6.

Please expect a quiz late this week (Friday) or early next week, (Tuesday).  Meanwhile stay current and review.

Focus: Welcome to Strand 3. Today we had a brief into then went to the lab to work on setting up your very own blogspot.  We will continue with this tomorrow in class.

Seminar: More work today on essay prompt, resume, and applications.

World: Today we recapped some material from Friday related to arthsastra and debriefed Eight Rupees. Ask yourself what you have learned about who you are considering Hindu beliefs. For this evening, review the reading in the text 3.1 and 3.2 on the Hindu caste system.  We began in class an activity related to caste. For homework, complete Part I of the handout that's related to caste.
